Overview
Pass Vault is designed around a simple principle: your credentials belong to you.
Credentials, passwords, websites and notes are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to Pass Vault servers.
In simple terms: Pass Vault uses anonymous performance metrics to help identify slow screens, startup issues and reliability problems. Your credentials and vault contents are never included in these reports.
Data Storage
All vault data is stored locally on your device and protected using encryption before being persisted.
Pass Vault does not provide account-based storage, cloud synchronization or remote access to your vault.
Information We Do Not Collect
- Passwords
- Usernames
- Credential contents
- Websites stored in your vault
- Notes associated with credentials
- Personal account information
Diagnostics & Performance Metrics
Pass Vault may collect anonymous diagnostic and performance information to help improve reliability, stability and overall app performance.
This information never includes passwords, usernames, websites, notes or any vault contents.
In simple terms: We may receive anonymous information about how the app performs, but we never receive the contents of your vault.
Security
Pass Vault uses local encryption and platform security features to help protect sensitive information stored on your device.
When available, biometric authentication can be used before revealing stored passwords.
Data Deletion
Because Pass Vault stores vault data locally, you remain in control of your information at all times.
You can delete credentials individually, clear all app data or uninstall the application to remove stored information.
In simple terms: There is no account to delete and no vault data stored on our servers. Removing data from the app removes it from Pass Vault.
Third-Party Services
Pass Vault currently uses services provided by Expo for anonymous diagnostics and performance monitoring, including Expo Observe and Expo Analytics.
These services may receive technical information related to app performance and stability.
Vault contents, passwords, usernames, websites and notes are never transmitted to these services.
You can learn more about how these services handle data in their respective privacy documentation.
